How To Register

Some boroughs do not have a vendor registration requirement. They just put out RFP’s or bid’s

and the requirements will be in the bid package or notice. If the borough does require vendor

registration, you will need to have some information ready.

The items needed could include:

  • EIN or Social Security Number

  • Company Name

  • Address

  • Phone Number

  • Fax Number

  • Email

  • Contact Person & Info

  • Product/Service Category (Select ALL that apply to your business)

  • Company Characteristics/Certifications – You will need to know the expiration or valid to date if you are certified. (i.e. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Veteran Owned,Small Business)

  • Business License

  • Certificate of Insurance – Some boroughs may require this for vendor registration.

Steps To Take After You Have Registered

OK! You’ve signed up to be a registered vendor and/or bidder with all the boroughs you want

to work with. Now follow these steps to make sure you know when work is available to bid on:

  • Sign up for any portals that the borough uses to show work out for bid

  • Sign up for any email alerts available to you

Not all boroughs have these. Some only have these. Make sure you are registered either via

an email alert or the bidder portal, to all new information.

We all believe that our business is great. Some of us may even think that people will come in

droves once they know about us, but it takes intentional effort to put your business out there.

Don’t wait for customers to come to you, put your business where purchasers can see it.
